PRESENCE

An interactive exhibition that doesn't take place in a gallery. There is no single venue and no opening night. Instead, it happens in the artists' own studios, wherever in the world they are working: the process of being present — with the world and all over the world.

We invite you to join the artists — unplugged, no phones, no talking — just being with them and their process. Observing. Not arriving to see something finished and framed, but being there while it is still being made.

This is an invitation to explore being with the world in a different way. To slow down to the act of creation itself, and to the people who spend their lives looking at the world closely.

PRESENCE is about staying close to the making itself: the process of creation by hand, the hours that no one usually sees, the work and reworking long before a piece is anywhere near finished.

Especially now, the world needs artists. We live faster than ever, and we look at more and see less. We are surrounded by images that ask for a second of our attention before the next one arrives. The artists in this exhibition do the opposite. They give their whole attention to one thing, for a long time. That is what we want to share with you.
